Upgraded my Apple TV

Tonight I’ve upgraded my Apple TV from the regular 40GB harddisk to 160 GB harddisk. I found that on many sites the how-to’s are teribbly wrong or don’t work with Mac OSX 10.4 (Intel). Having the EFI and recovery partitions present on your new disk, makes diskutility screw up the whole harddrive so you can start all over again.

Additionally, there’s no need to copy the OSBoot and Media partitions, since they can be reconstructed, so safe a lot of time and don’t copy those!

Next will be hacking the thing, which should be relatively easy after this ordeal.

Dropped my N95

Ofcourse: It was bound to happen, finally when I have a good phone, I drop it! It had a big dent in the outer (bottom) casing (white material visible) and the bottom cover (where the USB stick goes into) was also damaged.

So I went to search, on the internet for a online spare-parts company. The best ones I could find where blueunplugged.com and Mobile Fun both from the UK.

Blueunplugged had both the bottom covers and I ordered them online, within two to three working days I had everything in house. And with the help of a Torx 6 I had a new phone within the hour!
